U.S. Corn Emergence on Par with Five-Year Average

The USDA released its 12th Crop Progress report Tuesday afternoon. These reports run weekly through the end of November and look at the progress and condition of various crops on a national and state-by-state scale.

 

CORN

 

As of Sunday, 95% of corn has emerged compared with 95% for the previous five-year average.

 

The condition of the corn crop was rated 70% good/excellent and 6% poor/very poor. This compares with the previous-year average of 65% good/excellent and 6% poor/very poor.
