EAGLE GROVE, Iowa Months after his initial arrest, Lukouxs Brown has been found competent enough to stand trial.

A former meatpacking plant employee, Brown was accused of killing a co-worker. On Friday, the Wright County court ruled that the case against Brown can go forward.

Brown was arrested last February after police say he murdered Wayne Smith inside the employee locker room at the Prestage pork processing plant near Eagle Grove.

His trial was put on hold in April when a judge found him not fit to appear before the court.

In a ruling filed Friday, the court found that treatment had restored Brown's competency. Brown will be arraigned next month.
