Former top Bayer Animal Health exec named president of Tyson subsidiary

The former top executive of Bayer Animal Health in Shawnee has found a new place to roost.


Cobb-Vantress Inc., a subsidiary of Tyson Foods, named Joyce Lee as its new president. Cobb-Vantress is one of the world’s leading providers of poultry breeding stock.


Lee led Bayer Animal Health’s North American headquarters in Shawnee from 2016 through 2020. During that period, Bayer was one of the area’s largest life sciences companies, with 550 local full-time-equivalent employees in 2019.


She left Bayer to join Elanco Animal Health Inc. as it was preparing to close on its $7.6 billion acquisition of the company. At Elanco, Lee served as an executive vice president and president of the company’s U.S. Pet Health and Commercial Operations business...
